Custom Forms

Description:

The built-in work item submission forms in TFS can be a bit overwhelming to non-technical users. And although TFS provides a way to customize the forms using process templates, the client still wanted a way to provide a very simplified defect submission form to non-technical end users. The layout needs of the form exceeded the built-in form layout facilities of TFS.

Solution:

A custom web-based application was written using ASP.NET and the TFS SDK. This provided a simple and intuitive defect submission form that users could access from any web browser.
